Three Schafer Vater Bisque Porcelain Novelty Figurines, Germany, early 20th century, unmarked, depicting caricatures of black children, comprising a little black boy being bitten in the posterior by a crocodile, lg. 5 1/4, a black boy with a piece of watermelon in the jaws of a crocodile, lg. 6, and a black boy dressed as Pierrot seated in a chair playing violin, ht. 4 7/8 in.

violinist: front right chair leg broken off (clean break) and reglued.
crocodile biting boy's posterior: impressed with 4409. fleabite to boy's foot. indistinct script writing in paint to one side of croc's tail.
minor age wear.
