Description:

Group of Miniature Containers and Ephemera, comprising three candy containers: two paper hatbox form, one enclosing a tiny Bristol teacup, the third a wooden cigar box form with paper label in French from a London cigar shop, with notation on bottom reading, 'Doris' party Apr. 2, 1895. This had chocolate cigars in. we each got one. K.H.J.,' ht. 1.75; a small ring box with child's ring and note inside: 'from Doris. She got two rings in a motto at my party, Oct 21, 1895, + she gave me one. Kate Huntington Tiemann'; two woven baskets; a St. Nicholas Gems box; a burlwood snuff box with hinged lid; a mosaic glass jewelry box with ormolu decoration; and a triangular print mounted on cardboard with Dresden trim, probably from an antique doll trunk, (good to excellent).
