Description:
18kt Gold, Carved Emerald, Coral, and Onyx Suite, probably Italy, c. 1970s, the geometric collar set with onyx and coral panels, and bezel-set with carved emerald cabochons, earclips en suite.
Note: This suite, with its bold colors and strong geometric motifs, certainly reflects the Egyptian Revival style of the 1970s, influenced by the 1972 Treasures of Tutankhamen exhibition. Similar examples can be seen in Bulgari jewelry from this period, as seen in Bulgari by Mascetti and Triossi, p. 91.
