Description:

18kt Gold "About Time" Pendant Watch, Omega, Andrew Grima, c. 1969, the goldtone metal dial with baton numeral indicators, enclosing manual-wind 17-jewel movement no. 32396686, case no. 8260, Swiss guarantee stamp, in an abstract mount, and suspended from fancy cage-link chain, lg. 3, 31 1/2 in., both with maker's marks for Omega, and signed by Grima.

Note: In 1969, Omega commissioned Andrew Grima to create a series of watches that would allow the beholder to see time through gemstones. Not only does the watch tell time, but it is also a jewel and a work of art. Similar examples are pictured in Graham Hughes' Grima Retrospective p. 88-90.
Estimate $3,000-5,000
