American School, 19th Century

Brook Trout Fishing. Signed and dated "E.P.B. 1883" l.r. Oil on canvas, 14 x 20 in., in an ornate gilt-gesso frame. Condition: Two patch repairs u.l. and l.l. with associated retouch.
Estimate $800-1,200

The patch on the top shows no retouch, the bottom patch is left of the fish's mouth and area of retouch is about 2 in. dia.
