Two Floral Cobalt-decorated Stoneware Jugs, America, late 19th century, two-gallon jugs, one marked "WHITE'S UTICA. N.Y.," the other marked "BALLARD & BROTHERS BURLINGTON VT," (minor chips), ht. 13 1/2, 14 1/8 in.
Estimate $200-300

White's- 2 1/3 in. shallow lip chips, and a 1/2 in. curved hairline on lip edge, 2 in. fine hairline on base edge, 1/2 in. and 3/4 in. shallow base edge chips, some frying on cobalt flower; Ballard & Brothers- 1/2 in. dia. shallow lip chip, 1/4 in. dia. shallow handle chip, 1/3 in. dia. base edge chip, 1 1/2 in. crack on base edge.
