Lot of Two Victorian Portrait Miniatures of Sisters, late 19th century, watercolor and gouache on card, one depicting a girl with blond ringlets wearing a white and ecru off-the-shoulder dress, the other showing a young girl with curly blond hair wearing a white and blue hat and dress, 3 1/4 x 2 1/2, 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 in., in contemporary gilt-brass frames with gilt-brass mats with oval apertures. Condition: Toning, foxing.

The backgrounds are heavily toned, the older girl in the white dress has a superfluous mark on her chest and bodice, the smaller girl looks to be wearing a very large hat, but hard to tel because the background colory is muddy, both have several small spots of foxing.
