Howard 14 Size 17-jewel "Jack Barry" Pocket Watch, Boston, c. 1913, 14kt gold open face case marked Howard, 14K, and 131015, the back with the inset baseball diamond within a garland design and marked World's Champions 1913, the cuvette marked E. Howard Watch Co. Boston and engraved Jack Barry, enameled dial with Arabic numerals, blue seconds numerals, and inscribed Howard, the movement marked with maker's name and 1138926, all in a felt-lined hinged case.

Note: Jack Barry (1887-1961) played for the Philadelphia Athletics 1908-15 during which time the team won the American League pennant four times and the World Championship in 1910, 1911 and 1913. He later played for the Boston Red Sox 1915-1919 and coached baseball for the College of the Holy Cross for forty years until his death at Shrewsbury, Massachusetts in 1961.
