Description:

Pressed Bisque Bebe by Emile Denamur, impressed E 6 D, with closed mouth, outlined lips, fixed threaded blue paperweight eyes, feathered brows, pierced ears with earrings, original blonde mohair wig on cork pate, fully-jointed composition body in the original finish, dressed in cream two-piece embroidered design, matching bonnet, undergarments, and period brown kid lace-up boots stamped 6 Deposé, maiden trademark and Au Louvre Paris paper label, ht. 16 in., (stringing needs tightening).

Note: The dress is a custom-made copy of a portrait Jumeau costume in the Strong Museum. The original bonnet and shoes are included with the doll. Purchased from Ma Tante Zoe shop in Paris.
Estimate $2,000-3,000

Head has been lighted and appears free of damage. Bisque is slightly grainy, consistent with E.D. dolls in general. There is a short red mold line on the neck, and light red strawberry marks (not unsightly) on the forehead, left and by left ear.
