American School, 19th Century Lot of Two Works: Portait of a Spaniel Seated on a Red Chair, and a Portrait of Cat Wearing a Red Ribbon with a Red Ball. The portrait of the spaniel inscribed "B.J. Davis Jan 1st, 1855" on the reverse; pastel on paper, 12 x 10 in., in a period giltwood frame. The portrait of the cat is unsigned. watercolor on velvet, (minor toning), 12 x 14 in., in a molded wood frame.
