Paint Decorated Dome-top Box, Acton, Massachusetts, dated 1833, rectangular dovetail joined pine box with leather handles, iron latch, the top with fancy graining, painted compass flower and linear border with ovolo corners, the back of the box inscribed "John Tunn--- 1833, Acton Mass.," (minor imperfections),ht.12, wd. 28 1/2, dp. 11 3/4 in.

Estimate $300-500

Small losses o, cover corners, couple 11/2 in. cracks at nails on cover edge,scattered old abrasions and paint losses.
