Portrait of a Young Man. Unsigned. Pastel on paper, c. 1840, portraying the man wearing a black jacket and cravat and a floral patterned vest, 12 x 9 1/2 in., in a period mitered wooden frame. Condition: Minor stains.
Estimate $600-800

Two small fairly unobtrusive moisture stains, just below lip and just above rt. shirt collar tip.
