Redware Jug with Heart Decoration, America, early 19th century, ovoid form with strap handles and spigot, ornamented with applied strapwork on shoulder and spigot and a heart-shaped motif on the front, mottled green and brown glaze, (glaze losses),ht. 10 1/4 in.
Estimate $4,000-5,000

Allover small glaze flake losses, a thick black tarry substance is spattered inside and out side the jug.
