Three-color Wool and Cotten Beiderwand Weave Coverlet, Jacob Andrews, Manor Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, 1835, two-piece coverlet centered with a filed of floral medallions alternating with a large blossom, the borders with confronting birds with rose bushes, two corner blocks inscribed "MADE BY J. ANDREWS/MANOR TOWNSHIP/FOR ANNA HERR 1835," in red, green, and black wool and white cotton, fringed on three sides, (minor toning, fringe losses), 96 x 78 in. excluding fringe.
At some point a printed cotton edging was applied to the top edge, much of it has worn away. most of the black fringe has worn off, fairly unobtrusive light stains on borders.
