Paint Decorated Dome-top Box, Worcester County, Massachusetts, 1820s, rectangular box, the black ground paint is embellished with neoclassical elements including gold and red arched feathers, drapery swags, and a meandering vine highlighted with red flowers surrounding a brass bail pull on top, with wallpaper lining, (minor surface imperfections),ht. 9 1/2, wd. 24, dp. 12 in.

Some shrinkage cracks by nails, scattered paint losses.
