Framed Pennsylvania Taufschein, Mahanoy Township, Nothumberland County, Pennsylvania, 1836, polychrome painted birth certificate depicting a putto holding a letter and a horn above text flanked by two angels holding lyres, one with a bird and the other with a wreath above two birds eating berries on a tree branch and an eagle with shield, recording the birth of Maria Mesner January 14, 1836, (minor toning and creases),16 1/2 x 13 1/2 in., in a later burl veneer frame.
