Partial Chinese Export Porcelain Tea and Coffee Service with Eagle Decoration, made for the American market, 1810-35, each item decorated with a brown and gilt spreadwing eagle centered with a flower sprig in a shield, with a gilt-starrred aura above his head, the eagle grasps a branch and a cluster of arrows, with wide border bands of gilt, sepia, and purple grape clusters and leaves; including a teapot, coffeepot, helmet-shaped creamer, covered sugar bowl, tea caddy, twelve tea bowls, two handled teacups, fifteen saucers, a shallow bowl, a small plate, and a small bowl, thirty-seven pieces total, (minor imperfections),ht. 1 3/4-8 1/2 in.
