Nantucket Friendship Basket Purse, Jose Formoso Reyes, mid-20th century, oval form with carved ivory seagull figure affixed to the oval walnut lid medallion, swing handle secured with ivory pegs, ivory latch peg, the base signed "Made in Nantucket, Jose Formoso Reyes," with a rendering of the island, ht. with handle down 6 1/2, lg. 9 1/2, dia. 10 1/2 in.
