30 cal Bullet Cuts a Card/Cutting the Card Quickly. Signed "HAROLD EDGERTON" l.r., titled, signed and dated "...HAROLD EDGERTON, MIT 1980..." on the reverse. Dye transfer print, image size 7 1/2 x 10 1/4 in. (19.1 x 26.0 cm), unframed.

Provenance: From the artist to the family of the present owner.
N.B. Scientist, artist, and educator, Harold ³Doc² Edgerton taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he invented the stroboscope, high-speed and stop-action photography. In his photographs, including images of bullets, athletic movements, fluids, and hummingbirds, Edgerton applies an artistic aesthetic to his scientific innovations.
