Coquetterie
Signed "U. Caputo" u.l., identified on a period label from Charles Hessele, Paris,
affixed to the reverse, title inscribed on the reverse.
Oil on board, 13 x 10 in. (33.0 x 25.4 cm), framed (under glass).
Condition: Board slightly warped, retouch, craquelure with separating, not examined out of frame.


Provenance: From the Estates of Mary Ann and Frederick Lippitt, Rhode Island.
Estimate $3,000-5,000

Although the work has not been viewed out of the frame, the support is slightly warped. There is craquelure with separating, predominately u.c. (in the figure's hair) and along the lower part of the compsition. There are also some scattered areas of retouch.
