Chippendale Maple Tall Chest of Drawers, Massachusetts, late 18th century, the brasses appear to be original, refinished, (minor imperfections) ht. 56 1/4, wd. 35 3/4, dp. 18 in.
Provenance: A note accompanying the chest states: "This chest belonged to Susanna Aldrich. She was born in S. Uxbridge, Mass., a Quaker, who left that church when she married Benj. G.H. Blanchard and moved to Greenville, R.I. My mother said that Susanna and the chest came from Uxbridge in the same wagon. She and her husband are now buried at Oak Hill in Woonsocket."
