Provenance: Donated in the fall of 1964 to be auctioned off by the Scituate Etrusco Association, hosted by Scituate contractor, prominent Jimmy Fund contributor, and Red Sox fan Allen Wheeler. The highest bid on the uniform that evening was $50, so the host presented it as a gift, to the present owner. A letter from the owner detailing this history accompanies the lot.
