11-inch Brass and Pasteboard Armillary Sphere, France, probably Delamarche with later additions, with Sun and Moon discs revolving around the (missing) Earth, four rings with red-painted rims representing the Arctic and Antarctic circles, the Tropics of Cancer and of Capricorn, and the Equatorial / Equinoctial line, intersecting colures, and horizon band calibrated for the Gregorian and Zodiacal calendars in days and sigils, in brass meridian ring with divisions 0-90° through four quadrants, engraved Élévation du Pôle Arctique, Élévation du Pôle Antarctique, Latitude Australe and Latitude Boréale, North polar hour ring with pointer, engraved pewter horizon ring, and splayed brass pillar to ebony plinth, ht. 21 in., (scattered worm holes on base, pasteboard and metal elements probably associated).
