Collection of Ophthalmic Instruments, a cased otoscope with rubber lens, gutta-percha tube and three speculae, in fitted leather-covered case with label of Chidsey & Partridge, Boston; three Loring-pattern ophthalmoscopes in fitted cases; a Liebrich-pattern ophthalmoscope by Tiemann in fitted case; a nickel-plated optometer; an ophthalmic surgical set comprising six bone-handled instruments in fitted case with Caswell, Hazard & Co. label and gilt stamp of Matthew D. Field, M.D.; a pair of early contact lenses in original case; and a comprehensive lens trial set, patd. 1891, containing cylindrical and spherical convex and concave lenses, in two-part fitted leather case, wd. 13 in.
