Portrait Miniature of a Gentleman, probably French, c. 1815, signed "Cocko" c.l., watercolor on ivory, depicting a half-length oval portrait of the man with curly black hair, wearing a black jacket, white shirt and cravat, 2 5/8 x 2 1/4 in., in an oval copper pendant frame, the reverse with a hair-work plume with seed pearls on ivory, with painted wheat with gilt wire stalks and a small blue foil-backed glass oval framed with seed pearls with white enamel inscription "L'amitie." Condition: Good, the back with loose wires and seed pearls.
