Possibly the Work of Joseph Partridge (American, 1792-1833)

Portrait of William Myrik. Inscribed "WILLIAM MYRIK OLD 2MY" c.l. and "C. Woest 1822" c.r. Watercolor on paper, half-length portrayal of the gentleman wearing a blue jacket with black collar and brass buttons, white frilled shirt and stock, 10 3/4 x 7 1/2 in., in original oval eglomise mat and molded giltwood frame. Condition: Toning, flaking of eglomise mat.

Note: Said to have come from the south shore of Massachusetts.
