Federal Mahogany Inlaid Desk Bookcase, Amesbury, Massachusetts, c. 1800-10, the top section with three cockbeaded short drawers above two hinged doors opening to two drawers and four valanced compartments, flanking a central inlaid door with wavy birch oval panel and border of maple banding and stringing, opening to three compartments, all on projecting lower section of fold-out lid and case of four cockbeaded graduated drawers on slightly flaring French feet and valanced skirt, turned wooden pulls, original finish, (imperfections), ht. 61 3/4, wd. 42 1/4, dp. 19 1/2 in.
