Attributed to Jacob Maentel (American, 1763-1863)

Portrait of a Woman Seated in a Landscape. Unsigned. Watercolor on paper, circa 1830, depicting a woman seated on a bowback Windsor chair holding a lace collar, under a tree, in a landscape overlooking houses, trees and distant hills, 10 1/4 x 7 5/8 in., in a later mahogany veneer ogee frame. Condition: Creases with associated pigment losses, edge losses, tears.
