Description:

Pre-Columbian Painted Pottery Stirrup Spout Vessel, Moche IV, c. 450-550 A.D., the globular form with pedestal base, the carved death (?) head with holes on each side which produces a whistle sound when blowing into the spout, the body with fine line painting of the figures cloak and hands, (minor damage), ht. 9 3/4, dia. 5 1/2 in.
