Three-faced Bisque Head Baby in Swaddled Clothing, probably Carl Bergner, Sonneberg, Germany, late 19th century, head with three faces, two with brown glass eyes, a laughing and a crying with molded tears, one with eyes painted as sleeping, serene expression, metal ring on top of papier-mache head turns the heads and hides the unwanted ones, swaddling clothes are stitched on, unable to determine if there is a shoulderplate or only the cloth forming the body, all covered in lace-trimmed organdy, elaborate lace-trimmed white cotton baby bonnet, overall lg. 11 in.
