Palais Royale Musical Sewing Necessaire, the satinwood sarcophagus-form case with cut-steel pattern, fitted velvet-lined tray of mother-of-pearl, silver and steel sewing implements, including bodkin-holder formed as a sheaf of arrows, awl with fern-form handle, embroidery scissors, two spool-holders and bone thread-winders, and recessed interior with two-air sectional-comb movement (teeth in groups of three) signed on the comb-base A & B, (no.) 1620, wd. 8 1/2 in., (some missing implements and later additions).
