Description:

Early Key-Wind Musical Box by Ducommun Girod, No. 6163, playing Men of Harlech and three other airs, the brass bedplate stamped Ducommun Girod, in plain fruitwood case with instant stop and exposed controls, wd. 12 in., cylinder 7 1/2 in., (four early replaced teeth, possibly factory repairs).

Note: A similar exposed-controls musical box by Ducommun Girod, No. 7139, was sold in Science and Technology, 3 November 2005, lot 426. There are approximately 112 teeth in the comb, and the movement is in excellent playing condition.
