Confederate Bowie Short Sword, double-edged blade, wooden hilt, iron knuckle guard and a leather scabbard with a tin mouth and drag, overall lg. 22 1/4 in., blade 15 1/4 in.

Provenance: According to family tradition, this short sword was taken from a Civil War battlefield by Gilbert Harmon, Hoosick Falls, N.Y.
