Description:

Keystone Stereoscopic Tour of the World, Vols. I - VIII, comprehensive boxed set of approx. four hundred stereoscopic views, with descriptions on the reverse, in four bookform cases, (overall excellent).

Note: The tour begins with an image of Charles Lindbergh and his plane, the Spirit of St. Louis, then flies over various Washington landmarks to the Manhattan skyline, and the Southern states, before moving to Latin America, and then the United Kingdom. Vols. III and IV, though mainly concerned with Western Europe, conclude with Russia. Volumes V & VI continue with the Ukraine, through Turkey to Palestine, by way of Mesopotamia. The journey then continues through Africa, Australia, India and China, concluding in Vols. VII and VIII with Japan, Hawaii, California, the American Midwest, upstate (with a brief excursion into Canada), and back to Manhattan. The final card is "Home Again ! To the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave ! New York, U.S.A."; and a metal Holmes-pattern viewer.
