Beck Achromatic Stereo Viewer, Cabinet and Cards, by Smith, Beck & Beck, Coleman St., London, No. 1132, with tilting figured-walnut body, hinged lid with mirror, sprung slide holder, and a pair of rack-and-pinion focusing lenses, inverting for storage in walnut box with inset carrying handle, in matching walnut pedestal cabinet with four internal stereocard compartments, ht. 13 in., (lid slightly bowed, one clasps broken); containing approx. twenty-nine stereoscopic views of Paris on yellow card mounts, many with ink inscriptions; eleven topographical views by Ribeyre, Vals et Ses Environs, on orange mounts with titles; and thirteen views of English scenery, collegiate and ecclesiastical architecture on green card mounts, including Henry W. Taunton, Oxford, (Stereoscopic Gems of English Scenery) "The Albert Bridge, Saltash" and "New Court, St. John's College, Cambridge", with label of E.H. Chamberlain's Stereoscopic Emporium, 113 Main St., Worcester, Mass., and The London Stereoscopic & Photographic Co., "No. 11. Houses of Parliament. The Lords' Entrance".
