Description:

Nine Sea Charts from the Stonewall Jackson, Boston, five pubd. James Imray and Sons, London: "East India Archipelago", (1868, 1876, 1877), "Bay of Bengal", 1869, and "South and East Coasts of Australia, Cape Howe to the River Tweed", 1891; pubd. Hydrographic Office of the Admirality of London, Lieutenant Joseph Dayman, "Africa, South East Coast, Algoa Bay", 1855; two pubd. by Hydrographic Office, U.S. Navy, "S.E. Coast of Nova Scotia", 1874, and "The Great Bahama Bank", 1842; and pubd. John Walker, Geographer to the East India Co.","Chart of the South East Coast of Arabia", 1850.

Note: Stonewall Jackson was a three-masted bark that sailed from Salem to China from the late 1870s onwards. The charts range in date due to the fact that sea captains often used the same charts for several years of service. During this period, Stonewall Jackson was sailed by Captain Swain of Quincy, Massachusetts.
