Brass Vernier Surveyor's Compass by Edmund Draper, with 5-inch dia. silvered dial engraved Edmund Draper, Philadelphia, Warranted, blued-steel needle with central clamp, star at North, East and West points reversed, needle ring with engraved divisions 0-90° in four quadrants, cap, shaped limb with vernier operated from underside, "T" vials, outkeeper, and twin screw-on sights, ht. 9 x lg. 13 1/2 in., in fitted mahogany case with remains of transfers on front and lid and label (torn) of Edmund Draper, Mathematical and Optical Instrument Maker, No. 80, South Third St., Philadelphia.
