Wide mouth bowl with bands of blue and green colored glass shading to black then colorless glass with multi layered imagery of jazz player repeating around the body, polished pontil, signed on base, ht. 9, dia. 12 1/4 in.
Mr. Newell's body of work is part of the public collections of Corning Glass Museum, New York; Royal Scottish Museum, Edinburgh; Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
