Condition: Lined and restretched, retouched, craquelure. N.B. In 1958, Jean Ronfort, Paris, suggested an attribution to Pietro Longhi. More recently Colnaghi and Hall & Knight have suggested the circle of Carlo Dolci. It has also been suggested that the work might be more closely related to the school of Simon Vouet.
