Windsor Maple and Hickory High-back Windsor Armchair, Newport, Rhode Island, c. 1760-70, the shaped concave crest on turned spindles and back continuing to scrolled arm terminals on fourteen vase and ring-turned spindles and arm supports, and D-shaped saddle seat on splayed turned legs joined by turned cross-stretchers, old refinish, (imperfections and restoration),ht. 44 3/4, seat ht. 15 1/2 in.
