Modern Italian Violin, Postiglione Workshop, Naples, c. 1900, labeled VINCENTIUS POSTIGLIONE, N 289 ME FECIT NEAP 1902 VP, stamped VP at the lower rib, POSIGLIONE, NAPOLI at the button, and stamped 80302 at the end of the fingerboard, the one-piece back of narrow curl, the ribs and scroll of medium curl, the top of fine grain, the varnish of an orange color, length of back 13 15/16 in., 354 mm.
