Late Holy Roman Empire Silver Gilt Coin-set Tankard, likely Northern Germany, late 17th-early 18th century, maker's mark IIW, cylindrical body, with slightly domed lid set with Charles IX Jehovah tahler dated 1611, body set with various Germanic coins dated 1614-28, all with Wildman facing, on spreading domed foot, base set with similar coin dated 1661, with beaded cast ear handle and bifurcate scroll thumbpiece, ht. 8 1/4 in., approx. 56 troy oz.
