Plains Wood and Stone Skull Cracker Club, c. last half 19th century, rawhide-wrapped wood handle with horsehair drop, the round stone head with central ridge and knob at the top to secure the rawhide strap, traces of red pigment, old tag reads "Sioux, near White River S. Dak.," lg. 27 in.

Provenance: From a small New England museum.
