Swift & Son, London, No. 286, with rack-and-pinion coarse focusing, fine focusing thumbwheel on the top of three-sided pillar, double nosepiece-changer, anodized folding brass stage (No. B 14302) with grooved edges for mechanical slide-carrier with double worm gear adjustment and sprung arm stamped J. Swift & Son, London, 1335, Patent, substage condenser with diaphragm, and plano-concave mirror, on folding splayed foot, ht. folded 9 in., in fitted leather case containing two eyepieces and two J. Swift & Son objectives (1/12 in. Oil Immersion N.A. 1. 30 and 2/3 in. N.A. O.28) in marked cannisters.
