Early Kestner 15 Pouty Bisque Head Girl Doll, Germany, c. 1880s, brown glass sleeping eyes (minute white surface spot at side of one eyelash), closed pouty mouth with crisply outlined and shaded detail, red line between lips, clear bisque with even coloring and rosy cheeks, impressed 15 at crown, fat roll at nape of neck, plaster pate (old brown glue reinforcement), golden blonde mohair wig with long curls, early articulated composition straight wrist body in original finish (some soil, regluing of joint balls and fingers), old white cotton undergarments with eyelet trim, russet brown wool dress and hat with feather-stitching detail, exact copy of antique dress with Sylvia Mac Neil label, brown leather shoes (very frail), ht. 24 in.
