Key-Wind Two-Per-Turn Musical Box by Ducommun-Girod, No. 34733, the bedplate stamped Ducommun-Girod and G, playing eight operatic, dance and other airs, Gamme No. 1067, with instant-stop, tune-sheet and original operating instructions, in grained case with boxwood stringing, red interior, hinged endflap, and rosewood lid with boxwood, harewood and tulipwood inlay enclosing a central floral spray in pink, rose, red, lavender and blue colored enamels, wd. 17 in., cylinder 8 1/2 x 3 in.

Note: By Bulleid's research, serial number 34733 dates from the early 1850s. The factory originally stamped the movement 33733, and then corrected the error by over-stamping the second digit with a "4". The tunes are: La Marseillaise, La Muette de Portici, Friedrichs (Schottisch), Aurore (Polka), Polka Mazurkha, Waldmeisters Brautfahrt Walzer, Le Cor des Alpes, and Norma. Movement and case are in good unrestored condition.
