Description:

Coin-Operated Double Singing Bird Automaton, the birds with articulated heads, beaks and tails, perched in sunken garden surrounded by pressed gilt-metal borders and foliage, in reconstructed glazed case with turned ebonized corner columns with finials, mirror back, beveled glass top and mahogany base with fretwork grille flanked by quarter-veneered panels, the going-barrel movement with bellows for birdsong, coin-slot and coin-drawer, ht. 20 x 15 in.
