Description:

Coin-Operated Picture Automaton of a Cat Ballet, the chromolithographed scene depicting four kittens in tutus, holding weights in their articulated paws, directed by a tabby dancing master to the music of a dog orchestra, the open-spring mechanism with coin-slot, single-air cylinder movement, pulley and pinned wheel causing the band-leader to beat cymbals and drum, the dancing master to wave his baton as the kittens perform their steps, moving their feet and both arms alternately, in glazed frame, 10 x 12 in., (frame overpainted and mounted on later stand, coin-trip and chute removed).
