(Revolutionary War), D'Estaing, Charles Henri le Comte, Extrait du Journal d'un Officier de la Marine, [Paris], 1782, with portrait frontispiece, tree calf, 8vo, (minor defects). Note: The author whose name is unknown was part of D'Estaing's Squadron sent to help the American Republic in 1778. When a storm forced D'Estaing to go to Boston for repairs, it forced American General Sullivan to evacuate Rhode Island.
