Twiss, Montreal," and wooden weight-driven movement, all flanked by freestanding turned columns on waist with thumbmolded door and cove-molded base on cutout feet; the case with elaborate and imaginative polychrome decoration of compass stars, arrows, basketweave panels, rosettes and striping, signed on the door, "Alf. Lortie 1922, archt..." (imperfections),ht. 82 in.
